The 1st and 2nd CITES were conducted successfully in 2018 and 2020 which were attended by numerous international keynotes and invited speakers and presenters worldwide.

The 1st and 2nd CITES were conducted successfully in 2018 and 2020 which were attended by numerous international keynotes and invited speakers and presenters worldwide.

     


    The current CITES2022’s theme is Innovation in Technology and Science for New Era of Engineering Professionalism covering field of Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Information Technology, and Natural and Applied Sciences.


    CITES2022 will be held offline on 9-10 August 2022 in The ZHM Premiere Padang hotel, Indonesia. The beautiful Padang City is very famous for its Minangkabau cultures, delicious cuisine and lovely sunset beaches. Many attractive places are available around Padang, such as Pagang and Mandeh, where visitors can spend time for diving, snorkelling or boat travelling, the Pagaruyung Palace, a beautiful historical object that introduce visitors about Minangkabau traditions, the markable of gorgeous Sianok Canyon Bukittinggi which shows the great natural fault of Sumatera Island.


    We also prepared this conference in a hybrid scheme due to the uncertain forthcoming situation concerning Covid-19 issues.


    The qualified keynote and invited speakers from USA, Norway, UK, Germany, South Korea, Australia, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Malaysia, and Indonesia are scheduled to share their latest research findings during this conference. All well reviewed and presented papers will be published in Scopus Indexed Proceeding.

     

     

  • Conference on Innovation in Technology and Engineering Science 2020

    4 November 2020 – 5 November 2020

    The 2nd Conference on Innovation in Technology and Engineering Science (CITES) is a biennial international conference held by Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Andalas. This conference open opportunity for experts and professionals to exchange new ideas in technology, engineering, science and industry. The 1st CITES was run in 2018 and successfully attended by six international keynote speakers and participated by more than 120 articles. The 2nd CITES invites original submissions in the areas of engineering from various countries.

    The 2nd CITES will be held on 4-5 November 2020 in Padang, Indonesia, the capital city of West Sumatera Province. Padang City is well known for its Minangkabau culture, delicious cuisine and beautiful sunset beaches. Visitors can spend time for diving, snorkeling or boat travelling at many beautiful island such as Sikuai, Mandeh, and Mentawai. About 2 hours driving from this city, there is Pagaruyung palace, a beautiful historical objects that introduce visitors about Minangkabau traditions.

    Rapid growth in technology supports the modern lifestyle where affluent natural resources are exploited for humankind`s prosperity. These activities should guarantee sustainable actions for the next generations. The innovation proposes new ideas, processes, systems to increase efficiency and products and to decrease negative effects on humankind itself and environment.

    This conference could be an event to share new ideas in technology, engineering, science and industrial systems. Researchers from various countries with different academic backgrounds and experiences will present their ideas to solve their specific problems and share the innovations that could be a reference to similar problems in the related academic fields.

    The committee invites researchers, practitioners, decision-makers, industrial and business sectors, and students, to share their ideas, innovations, knowledge, findings, experiences, and concepts.

    Welcome to the I-CENTROID2021

    BACKGROUND. Globally, the construction industry is facing many challenges of providing values to be added in the demanding building and infrastructure provision for all societies..  Construction industry is part of the economy which plans, finances, designs, constructs, operates and eventually, demolishes buildings and works and disposes of the debris (Ofori, 2016). Construction industry development is a deliberate and managed process to improve the capacity and effectiveness of the construction industry to meet the national economic demand for building and civil engineering products, and to support sustained national economic and social development objectives (CIB TG29, 1998). Therefore, there is a need of cross-discipline and cross-stakeholders in the industry to address strategic efforts to create value added construction.



    THE OBJECTIVE. The construction industry must provide a lot of values to be added such as technology value, economic value, financial value, environmental value, institutional value, political value, social value and management value for current and future built environment.  This international seminar blended with symposium is to disseminate research findings, project case studies and lessons learnt while providing a new progressive consolidated thought among scholars, researchers, practitioners, industry players and policy makers to propose theories and methodologies and strategic practices for transforming construction by all industry players for more value-added building and infrastructure development.


    Output. This conference will produce (1) a Scopus indexed proceeding (AIP Conference proceeding), a collection of papers presented at the conference; (2) a position paper to policy makers and industry players for further consideration in the transforming construction industry.

    The third ICDM will include keynote sessions and parallel sessions.

    This conference was planned to conducted in Universitas Andalas campus. Due to Covid-19 pandemic situation the conference is moving to be held on a hybrid conference method that is on-site conference (physical presence) and an online conference (virtual participation). By participating in third ICDM 2022 anyone can promote his/her research and professional work, learn, and discuss the latest accomplishments, innovations, and potential future directions.

    LATAR BELAKANG. Pembangunan infrastruktur yang sangat pesat saat ini di Indonesia menuntut para pemangku kepentingan untuk berpacu menghasilkan inovasi demi peningkatan kebutuhan masyarakat dalam menjalankan roda perekonomian. Saat ini, hal tersebut selaras dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang saling terintegrasi, sehingga inovasi dalam dunia konstruksi dapat berkembang pesat. Inovasi di dunia konstruksi yang telah diciptakan dan digunakan oleh sektor-sektor industri seperti proses pembangunan, desain struktur hingga material yang ramah lingkungan.

    Namun, tantangan yang dihadapi oleh dunia konstruksi di Indonesia agar mewujudkan inovasi sangat beragam sekali mulai dari kompetensi sumber daya manusia, kebijakan digitalisasi, keberlanjutan (sustainabilitas) sumber daya alam hingga pandemi covid-19 yang masih melanda dunia sampai saat ini. Tantangan ini harus dijawab oleh para pemangku kepentingan dengan berpikir lebih cepat dan solutif dalam menentukan langkah pembangunan infrastruktur yang berorientasi pada masa depan. Oleh sebab itu, Andalas Civil Engineering (ACE) National Conference mengangkat tema "Tantangan Inovasi Konstruksi dalam Pembangunan Infrastruktur di Indonesia". Konferensi ini diharapkan menjadi wadah para praktisi dan akademisi untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut dan menciptakan langkah yang antisipatif.

    ANDALAS CIVIL ENGINEERING CONFERENCE atau disingkat dengan ACE Conference, merupakan kegiatan ilmiah tahunan Jurusan Teknik Sipil, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Andalas Padang.     Setelah sukses menyelenggarakan 1st ACE National Conference tanggal 27 November 2014 , Jurusan Teknik Universitas Andalas kembali akan mengadakan ACE National Conference yang kedua tanggal 13 Agustus 2015. ACE National Conference adalah singkatan dari Andalas Civil Engineering – National Conference, dan lahir dengan inisiatif untuk mewadahi banyaknya hasil-hasil penelitian yang belum terpublikasikan dan didiskusikan di ruang-ruang ilmiah.

    Jurusan Teknik Sipil Universitas Andalas, akan mengadakan kegiatan konferensi ilmiah dan workshop yang diberi nama 1st ACE-National Conference 2014 yang akan dilaksanakan pada hari Kamis tanggal 27 November 2014 di Kampus Universitas Andalas, Limau Manis, Kota Padang. Tema kegiatan adalah: "Peningkatan kualitas infrastruktur untuk pencegahan bencana".
    Konferensi ini ditujukan bagi mahasiswa pasca sarjana (S2 dan S3), dosen, dan peneliti yang mempunyai bidang topik penelitian infrastruktur, mitigasi bencana alam, material, manajemen proyek, air & hidrolika, aspek hukum konstruksi, rekayasa gempa, rekayasa lingkungan, geosciences, geoteknik, yang sesuai dengan tema konferensi.

    Many strong earthquakes have occurred globally and caused many casualties and damages on the infrastructures and lifeline facilities. Learning from these disasters, a lot of advances in science and technology have been developed to provide a safer living environment for humanity. This conference aims to provide an opportunity to share the most recent findings related to earthquake engineering. It will highlight research in engineering field to the disaster mitigation policy. It is hoped that this conference will be fruitful to disseminate these technologies to safeguard against earthquake hazard and to promote risk reduction efforts worldwide.

    The 4th ICEEDM is organised by Andalas University, Institut Teknologi Bandung, and AARGI.

    AARGI (Asosiasi Ahli Rekayasa Gempa Indonesia) or The Indonesian Earthquake Engineering Association (IEEA) was founded in 1984 and has been a member of IAEE ever since. The vision of IEEA is to actively promote and participate in Disaster Risk Reduction in Indonesia, and its missions are (i) to share and disseminate knowledge, research findings, and advances in earthquake engineering technology for disaster risk reduction in Indonesia, and (ii) to transfer the aspiration related to earthquake engineering to the stakeholders.  Consisted of researchers, professionals, government officers, etc., who are concerned with earthquake engineering in Indonesia, IEEA has been working together with the Indonesian government in various activities related to earthquake mitigation. Updated Seismic Hazard Map, Updated Building Codes, Ina-TEWS , Strong Motion Accelerograph Network, and Building Fragility and Fatality Models are some of the IEEA contributions.

Seminar Nasional Sains dan Teknologi Lingkungan (SNSTL) bertujuan meningkatkan kontribusi para akademisi dan profesional dalam penyelesaian masalah lingkungan terutama dalam mempersiapkan teknologi lingkungan guna menghadapi kondisi nasional terkini

  • SEMINAR NASIONAL SAINS DAN TEKNOLOGI LINGKUNGAN V 2022

    Setelah sukses menyelenggarakan SNSTL IV pada tahun 2021, maka kami kembali mengadakan kegiatan SNSTL V pada tahun 2022. Seminar ini akan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 19 September 2022 dan diselenggarakan oleh Jurusan Teknik Lingkungan, Universitas Andalas.

    Tema dari SNSTL V ini adalah "Inovasi Sains dan Teknologi Lingkungan untuk Mengurangi Dampak Perubahan Iklim dalam Mencapai Sustainable Development Goals". Melalui SNSTL V ini, Kami mengundang semua pihak dari seluruh Indonesia untuk berpartisipasi, berbagi pengalaman dan gagasan dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang baik untuk mengurangi dampak perubahan iklim sesuai dengan yang menjadi target dari Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's)

    SNSTL IV akan terdiri dari sesi seminar dan sesi pemaparan Paper secara online.

    Kegiatan SNSTL V ini diselenggarakan secara hybird di kampus Universitas Andalas. Dengan berpartisipasi pada kegiatan SNSTL V ini, Anda bisa menyebarluaskan hasil penelitian atau pekerjaan, mengadakan diskusi untuk masa depan yang lebih baik.

    Setelah sukses menyelenggarakan SNSTL III pada tahun 2018, maka kami kembali mengadakan kegiatan SNSTL IV pada tahun 2021. Seminar ini akan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 23 September 2021 dan diselenggarakan oleh Jurusan Teknik Lingkungan, Universitas Andalas.

    Tema dari SNSTL IV ini adalah Inovasi Sains dan Teknologi Lingkungan untuk Mencapai Sustainable Development Goals. Melalui SNSTL IV ini, Kami mengundang semua pihak dari seluruh Indonesia untuk berpartisipasi, berbagi pengalaman dan gagasan dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang baik sesuai dengan yang menjadi target dari Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's)

    SNSTL IV akan terdiri dari sesi seminar dan sesi pemaparan makalah.

    Pada awalnya, SNSTL IV ini direncakan untuk dilaksanakan di kampus Universitas Andalas. Akan tetapi, karena situasi pandemi covid-19, SNSTL IV akan diselenggarakan secara daring (online). Dengan berpartisipasi pada kegiatan SNSTL IV ini, Anda bisa menyebarluaskan hasil penelitian atau pekerjaan, mengadakan diskusi untuk masa depan yang lebih baik.
